Four months ago, 24 residents of NC State's Quad started the adventure of a lifetime. Separated into three tribes, their goal was to outwit, outplay, and outlast all of the others to become the remaining sole Survivor. Near the end of their journey, only four players were left: Hannah, AZ, Michelle, and Weston.
At the final four Immunity Challenge, the Survivors were faced with completing tasks from previous challenges, including volleyball, a word scramble, and a number puzzle. Michelle gained a huge lead when she was the first person to complete her word scramble, but lost it when she couldn't think of the names of previously voted out contestants. In a last minute effort, Hannah finished her number puzzle and won Immunity.
Faced with the prospect of voting out one of their own, the Sec Bec alliance seemed to have their minds made up on AZ. However, Michelle still had the power to force a tie and try to break up Hannah and Weston, a known couple. In the end, she stuck with the plan and AZ was voted out 3-1.
At the final Immunity Challenge, the Survivors had to wedge quarters in between their fingers while holding an uncomfortable pose. Weston faced difficulty from the get-go when he couldn't keep his arms up, and eventually he shuffled his feet and was eliminated. Michelle eventually began to feel pain and had trouble keeping her pose and eventually fell over, losing to Hannah, who never once showed signs of faltering.
Faced with a difficult decision, Hannah had to choose to vote out either her boyfriend Weston, or her close friend Michelle. In the end, she decided to vote based on strategy, and got rid of Weston, who she felt would be a bigger threat in the finals.
At the final Tribal Council, the Survivors were able to address the jury and plead their case as to why they should win. Hannah talked to each jury member individually about how the game had impacted their relationship. Michelle kept her speech short and mentioned the drive and determination she had in all of the challenges. It was then time for the jury to speak to the Survivors. Most jury members kept their comments lighthearted, however, when Josh was given the chance to speak, he took the opportunity to bash his fellow jury members, the contestants, and even the host.
The jury then voted for a winner, and in a 6-3 victory, Michelle Phillips become the first ever winner of Survivor: The Quad.

Episode 17: The Not-So-Wild Card
Previously on Survivor:
Sean, the last remaining member of the Underdog alliance, was running out of options. With no one else on his side, he faced the tight-knit group of Hannah, Weston, Michelle, and AZ alone. Furthermore, the last Hidden Immunity Idol was in AZ's possession. His only hope was to win the next Immunity challenge and force the group to turn on each other.
At the Reward Challenge, the Survivors played for an advantage at the next Immunity Challenge as well as a now-useless Hidden Immunity Idol clue. The players were asked trivia questions about the Quad, as well as questions about past events in the game. AZ showcased his knowledge of QAC and IRC, and his acute memory, all of which helped cement his first individual win.
At the Immunity Challenge, the players had 30 minutes to build a house of cards as high was possible. AZ's advantage also gave him an additional 5 minutes after the others were done. Hannah's strategy was to use as few cards as possible, but this caused her tower to be unstable, as it was constantly falling over. The rest of the Survivors didn't have much better luck, but with only minutes remaining, Michelle and Weston were in the lead. Sean made a last-ditch effort by stacking cards in one pile and then building from the top, but this strategy ultimately didn't work. With Michelle's tower the highest at the 30 minute mark, AZ had just 5 minutes to beat her. Unfortunately he couldn't surpass her, and Michelle won Immunity.
At Tribal Council, Sean knew his time was up. Before the votes were read, AZ played his Hidden Immunity Idol, nullifying Sean's vote against him. Sean received the other votes and became the seventh member of the jury. 4 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 16: The Game Heats Up
Previously on Survivor:
Despite the odds against them, Josh and Sean were in the final six and that much closer to winning the money. However, they had the Sec Bec alliance of Hannah, Weston, Michelle, and AZ working against them, and the ties between those four seemed too strong to break.
At the Reward Challenge, Survivors answered questions about themselves which their loved ones then had to match. For each correct answer, they earned a throw of a frisbee at a designated target to try and get as close as possible. Josh and his loved one Laura answered the most questions correctly, but Josh ended up not even needing his last throw and won reward. He earned a Hidden Immunity Idol Clue, the right to know the name of the next challenge, and the right to bring his loved one to play in the challenge.
At the Immunity Challenge, the Survivors played a series of blackjack hands against a dealer, and every time they lost, they had to eat spicy chicken nuggets. Michelle ended up eating several but she persevered anyway. Sean on the other hand had incredible luck and ended up in a tiebreaker with Michelle. In the end, Sean's luck stayed with him and he won Immunity once again.
At Tribal Council, everyone but Josh expressed that they didn't think they'd make it to the finals. Hannah said she didn't want to face the jury alongside Weston because he'd be more likely to get votes. Sean mentioned that he would have to go on an Immunity streak to win, so the finals were the last thing on his mind. His tone indicated that he and Josh were still on the outs, and the vote only confirmed this as Josh was voted out of the tribe. Afterward, the Survivors were told only two players would be facing the jury. 5 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 15: I Wanna Be a Part of That Panel
Previously on Survivor:
With Salma voted out, things continued to look bleak for the Underdog alliance. The Sec Becers, meanwhile, were dealing with their own problems, with Sarah expressing that she was almost done with the game.
At the Immunity Challenge, the Survivors played on a 10x10 grid, aiming to block opponents in while keeping their own paths open. Although the members of the Sec Bec alliance still in the game near the end tried to work together to beat Josh, Sarah's refusal to block herself in eliminated both her and AZ, leading to Josh's win.
At Tribal Council, Josh's Immunity left Sean and Michelle O vulnerable. Sean and Hannah both played their advantage they won at a previous reward, the ability to subtract one vote from their vote total. But in the end Michelle O was targeted and she was voted out of the game. After the vote, the Survivors were surprised with the announcement that they would be participating in another Immunity Challenge at that very moment.
For this challenge, the players had to run around different areas of NC State's campus and count objects or find numbers to fill in an answer sheet and subsequently solve a logic puzzle. Hannah, Sarah, and AZ decided to work together to try to keep either Josh or Sean from winning. However, Sean, working on his own, found all the numbers he needed, and while he started third on the logic puzzle, he ended up winning Immunity.
At Tribal Council, it seemed Josh was the obvious boot with Sean immune, but Sarah once again expressed desire to exit the game. However, since quitting could lose her a spot on the jury, she asked her fellow players to vote her out. Although Josh still received two votes, the tribe respected Sarah's wishes, and she was voted out. 6 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 14: They Want You Naked and Winning
Previously on Survivor:
Although the Underdog alliance of Josh, Michelle O, Salma, and Sean successfully blindsided Ben, they were still at a 5-4 numbers disadvantage. Salma, who had been in hot water since the merge, once again needed a miracle in order to save herself in the game.
At the Reward Challenge, the Survivors were tested on how well they knew their fellow tribe members. After answering survey questions about each other, they had to guess which tribe member's name was said most often. Hannah got the most votes for "Who won't shut up?" while Michelle O was labeled as a backstabber and in need of therapy. The group also decided they most wanted to see AZ pose nude. In the end, the challenge came down to Josh and Sean, but Josh's ability to read his tribemates helped him achieve his first individual win. He was given a Hidden Immunity Idol clue and the ability to give someone a disadvantage at the next Immunity challenge.
At the Immunity Challenge, the players were read an urban legend related to Bagwell Hall. They were then required to run around to different stations answering questions about the story. Josh gave Weston the disadvantage: a thirty second time penalty. The disadvantage made all the difference, as the challenge came down to mere seconds. Michelle P ended up victorious, making her safe from the vote.
At Tribal Council, Salma seemed accepting of her fate. Sarah expressed that she was feeling time constraints from being a part of the game. With Salma no longer immune, she was targeted and received five votes, enough to make her the sixteenth casualty of the game and the third member of the jury. 8 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 13: M. Night Shyamalan's The Twist
Previously on Survivor:
Facing a 7-3 disadvantage, Salma, Josh, and Sean were all on the chopping block. Salma in particular felt targeted and thought she would be the next to go unless something changed.
The Reward Challenge came in the form of a cryptic message, telling each of the Survivors to assign the words outwit, outplay, and outlast to one other player. They were then told the significance of their answers would be revealed later.
At the Immunity Challenge, all of the Survivors were read a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol. It was also revealed that whoever won the challenge would give an additional Immunity necklace to someone who assigned outplay to them. They were then told this challenge would be played in rounds. For the first several rounds, the Survivors had to retrieve sports balls and frisbees on the other side of the Quad, and whoever didn't get one would be eliminated in a musical chairs-style game. During this portion of the challenge, the girls began playing rough and wrestling each other to stay in the game. Salma was the last girl standing, but couldn't keep up with the guys. In the end, Sean, Weston, Ben, and AZ moved on to the final round. Here they had an answer board with several questions. They then had to retrieve the answers from a bin and bring them back one at a time. Before this round could start, Sean, who hadn't been feeling well, got dizzy and could not compete. In the end, after several wrong guesses, Weston beat AZ out by only seconds. He then chose Hannah to receive the second Immunity necklace.
After the challenge, the outwit and outlast portions of the Reward Challenge were explained. The highest votes for both categories would receive a reward. Hannah and Sean tied for outlast and each received a secret clue and advantage to help them outlast in the game. The outwit reward was a Hidden Immunity Idol good for the next Tribal Council only. This went to Salma, giving her yet another Idol to use.
At Tribal Council, the Sec Bec alliance decided to split the vote between Salma and Josh in order to ensure one of them went home regardless of who played the Hidden Immunity Idol. Salma played her Idol for Josh, protecting him from the vote. However, someone in the Sec Bec alliance switched their vote, and Ben was blindsided. 9 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 12: This Game Isn't Over for Any of You
Previously on Survivor:
Although they had dodged a bullet at the last Tribal Council, the minority alliance were still at a 6-5 disadvantage and were looking for one more vote to gain the majority.
At the Reward Challenge, the Survivors were given a 90s pop song and had 30 minutes to come up with a dance routine. Some players embraced the theme of the challenge, like Michelle P who danced in full Britney Spears garb. Others were less than happy to compete, and Hannah and Weston refused to dance. Although Josh went all out in a Spice Girls-themed routine, and Sarah had previous dance experience, Bassil's use of costuming and lighting won him reward. He was given a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol and an advantage at the next Immunity Challenge.
At the Immunity Challenge, the Survivors' ability to memorize sequences were tested. Bassil's advantage allowed him to skip one of the sequences, and while it helped him out, he couldn't outlast either Salma or Michelle P. In the end, Salma won out, earning a much-needed Immunity, making her safe from the vote.
At Tribal Council, Bassil called out the Sec-Bec alliance, but many of them including Hannah claimed they were not voting together. Salma made it clear that if someone from the Sec-Bec group didn't leave tonight, the game was over for her, Bassil, Josh, Sean, and Michelle O. When the votes were tallied, Bassil received enough to send him home and make him the first member of the jury. Salma then left, saying that the game was over. 10 are left. At Tribal Council, Sean said his perseverance was more about pride than Immunity, as he felt safe in his position within the Tribe. Alex retracted his statement made at the last Tribal Council and said that he doubted old tribal lines would play a role in the vote. Bassil felt uneasy due to the possibility of an all Sec Bec alliance, which would put him on the outs. Episode 10: Circular Logic
Previously on Survivor:
The remaining players received tree mail about their next two challenges, the second of which would be held at four in the morning. When they arrived for the first challenge, they found out they were playing for both Immunity and the final clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol. The players had to stand in a circle facing inward, and align themselves correctly based on clues written on paper attached to their backs. The challenge was further complicated due to the fact that they couldn't talk or make gestures, and only one tribemate was allowed outside of the circle at a time. Lupus struggled to keep their circle properly formed, while Rutilus worked together and pulled off their first Immunity win since the switch.
At Tribal Council, the possibility of a merge was brought up, with several members of Lupus stating that they would likely stick together given their numbers advantage. AZ fumbled with the question of whether or not he trusted his tribe mates. Sarah remarked that they were still voting on who was least helpful to the tribe, despite the fact that Michael, one of their strongest competitors, was voted out last time. In the end, Lauren received five votes, enough to make her the twelfth person to leave the game. After Tribal Council, Lupus was informed that they were indeed merging with the other tribe, with their new tribe color being green. 12 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 9: Yes...No...Maybe
Previously on Survivor:
The two tribes were given Tree Mail informing them they'd be playing for both reward and immunity. When they got to the challenge, they were shocked to learn that both tribes would be going to Tribal Council and only one player from each tribe would be immune; they would compete against the other members of their own tribe for immunity. Each player was given six corn hole bean bags to throw at a board to rack up points. In the end, Michelle P for Lupus and Ben for Rutilus won Immunity. Then Michelle P won the additional speed-based corn hole Reward Challenge and was given the choice of either a Hidden Immunity Idol clue, or a note to be read at Tribal Council. She chose the note, giving the clue to Ben.
At Lupus' Tribal Council, many of the members of their tribe had only had to vote once before. Sarah said she wasn't shocked by the announcement of the double boot because she had come to expect twists. Lauren thought that old tribal lines from the original three teams would play a factor in the vote. But the vote ended up being split several ways, with Michael receiving the majority.
Michelle P was informed that she must sit in on Rutilus' Tribal Council and then would be given her note to read aloud. To prevent her from gaining any information, the entire Rutilus tribe agreed to only answer with "yes" or "no." When it came time to reveal the note, it said Michelle P must give her immunity necklace to a player on Rutilus. The tribe's tactic worked because she could not tell who might be on the chopping block. She finally settled on Michelle O, but unfortunately it was Tyler who really needed it when he was voted out unanimously. 13 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 8: Weight on Your Shoulders
Previously on Survivor:
The Rutilus Tribe were desperate for a win going into the Reward Challenge. The Survivors had to play a game of volleyball on a cold February night for another Hidden Immunity Idol clue, as well as roses from the QAC Rose Sale. Rutilus dominated and ended up winning 15-9.
At the Immunity Challenge, the players were required to carry weighted book bags as they ran around a track aiming to catch the other team. Rutilus made a strategic play by having Salma and Michelle immediately drop out and give up their weight. But after a few grueling laps, Josh and Bassil also dropped out, leaving the entire 105 pounds all on Ben. Although he pushed to catch up with Lupus, Weston and Michael ended up catching up to secure Immunity for their tribe.
The new Rutilus Tribe headed to Tribal Council for the fourth time in a row. There, Josh admitted that it was his plan to have the girls drop their weight early. Salma was asked about her Hidden Immunity Idol she played last Tribal Council, and she said that although she didn't feel like she was in danger, she played the Idol for other strategic reasons. When asked if she was perceived to be weak, Michelle said that her and Salma both had not yet had an opportunity to prove their skills physically. Michelle received three votes for indeed being perceived as weak, but Mason's absences caught up to him when he was the 9th person to leave the game. 15 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 7: I Don't Send You to Tribal Council, You Choose to Go
Previously on Survivor:
The new Rutilus Tribe ended their losing streak when one of their members won the Super Bowl Prediction Challenge. That individual, whose identity remained a secret, won a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol, while the Rutilus Tribe won an additional clue to the nature of the next Immunity Challenge.
At the Immunity Challenge, the players had to rescue a "victim" from their own tribe by untying them and building a signal fire. The Rutilus Tribe struggled to find all of the items they needed to make the fire, giving a huge lead to the Lupus Tribe. Although Lupus took awhile with their fire, they finally burned it high enough and hot enough to win the challenge.
At their third straight Tribal Council, the Lupus Tribe argued that the other tribe wasn't stronger, and that their losses were based purely on circumstance. When asked about the Hidden Immunity Idol clue, Ben said he knew who had it. Everyone else echoed this statement, with the exception of Bassil and Michelle. Before the votes were read, Salma surprised her tribe by playing a Hidden Immunity Idol, but it was wasted when Joseph was voted out unanimously. 16 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 6: Different Perspectives
Previously on Survivor:
The players met for their first Reward Challenge as new tribes. They were tested in a simple game of memory, but only one tribe member could see the board at a time, forcing the tribes use careful communication. The teams struggled due to some players looking at the board from different perspectives, but in the end Lupus pulled out another victory, in part due to Alex's impressive memory. Rutilus then had to pick one player on Lupus to give a clue to a new Hidden Immunity Idol, and they chose Alex.
At the Immunity Challenge, the Survivors' physical abilities were tested in a relay race, which included wheelbarrow and piggyback legs. Lupus' advantage from the Reward Challenge allowed them to force Detric to work on the puzzle rather than compete physically. In the end, it once again came down to the puzzle, but when neither team could produce the correct answer, the tie had to be broken by a wheelbarrow relay. Rutilus started out in the lead, but Detric and Josh ended up stumbling in the anchor leg, which led to yet another Rutilus Tribal Council.
At Tribal Council, the entire tribe made it clear that their current losing streak could be broken. Tyler mentioned that while old tribal lines had some influence on the vote, it ultimately came down to the interactions everyone had with the tribe as a whole. When Salma was asked if she trusted her tribemates, she said she trusted every one of them, and that made the vote very hard. In the end, although Joseph was missing at the challenge, Detric's challenge performance came back to haunt him, and he was voted out in a tight 5-4 split. 17 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 5: Your World Will Turn, Your Head Will Spin...
Previously on Survivor:
The Survivors received tree mail telling them they should have "done their homework" for the next move they would be involved in. After some clever research, many players suspected that a tribal switch would be happening. Later, they were informed that the tribes would indeed be switched up, going from three tribes down to two. Josh and Michael were randomly chosen as captains, and in a school yard pick'em, the following tribes were chosen:
Salma
Bassil
Ben
Mason
Detric

Tyler

Joseph was the last person left not picked, and it was revealed that he would join the tribe that lost the next Immunity Challenge, therefore making him safe for the moment. Additionally, he received a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol.
At the Immunity Challenge, Rutilus came in at a disadvantage because three of their members, Salma, Bassil, and Sarah C, had the flu. The two tribes had to perform a number of different tasks, including moving colored balls using only their face, and carrying a weighted box around the outside of the Quad. Josh took a nasty spill during his leg, but quickly recovered. However, the Rutilus Tribe as a whole couldn't figure out their riddle, and lost when Lupus solved the riddle and created their human pyramid first.
With little time to strategize, the members of Rutilus had to scramble to figure out who would be booted next from their tribe. At Tribal Council, Tyler and Mason shared the sentiment that being in a new tribe was almost like starting anew with the social aspect of the game. Salma said that in her opinion the illnesses within the tribe had nothing to do with the loss, and it all came down to the puzzle once again. When the votes were tallied, two main targets, Mason and Sarah C, became apparent, but Sarah received the majority and was sent packing. 18 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 4: Pros and Cons
Previously on Survivor:
The contestants worked hard in order to gather items for the Raleigh Rescue Mission. While Campana and Rutilus relied on the individual efforts of their tribemates to win, the Lupus Tribe worked together as a group and donated items strategically to earn bonuses. In the end, their careful planning paid off, and they won the right to deliver all the donated items, as well as a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol.
At the Immunity Challenge, tribes had to work as a team to toss several water balloons across the Quad. The Rutilus Tribe showed tribe spirit by wearing red face paint, and although they once again led in the challenge, they weren't quick enough at the puzzle and lost Immunity as a result.
At Tribal Council, Michelle re-stated that voting was tough due to the close bonds the tribe as a whole had developed. Sean voiced his concern that it could be him tonight since he was almost voted out last time. But while Sean did receive two votes, it was Stephen who the Tribe saw as a weak link, and he was voted out. 19 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 3: Our First Blindside
Previously on Survivor:
The Survivors were told they'd take part in a philanthropy challenge to collect items for the Raleigh Rescue Mission, but that the deadline would be after the next Immunity Challenge.
When the Survivors met for the Immunity Challenge, they were shocked to learn that only the first place tribe would be immune, meaning two people would be leaving the game that night. The Survivors were blindfolded, and with the direction of one of their tribemates, had to collect letters to solve a three-word phrase. Although Rutilus and Campana finished collecting their letters at almost the exact same time, Campana made quick work of the phrase and earned themselves safety from the vote. In addition to Immunity, they won the right to kidnap a player from one of the other tribes. They chose Weston from Rutilus, saving him from the vote and making him a temporary member of the Campana tribe. Weston was then allowed to choose one person from Lupus or Rutilus who would then receive a Hidden Immunity Idol clue. He picked Ben, who agreed to share the clue with the rest of the tribe.
At Rutilus' Tribal Council, the tribe expressed that voting was difficult due to the fact that everyone got along. Michelle and Hannah mentioned that they wished there was an obviously unpleasant person on their tribe to make for an easy target. In the end, Catie was eliminated after giving the tribe permission to vote her out, although Sean still received three votes.
At Lupus' Tribal Council, Salma mentioned that it would be a hard vote because the tribe as a whole had become much closer. Michael said that his thoughts have been on the Hidden Immunity Idol, but without any clues it was too difficult to find. After the votes were cast, Sydney was surprised to find her name was written down most, and she was voted out. 20 are left. Who will be voted out next?

Episode 2: Menudo? No Gracias!
Previously on Survivor:
All three tribes arrived confident at the Reward Challenge, where they were tested on various subjects like the Periodic Table and US Presidents. The Campana Tribe once again dominated, winning 4-1-1, giving them an advantage at the next Immunity Challenge by automatically winning ties. After a tiebreaker, the Rutilus Tribe were last place, and had to choose one player on Campana to give a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol. They chose David.
Afterward, once everyone knew clues were in play, the hunt for the Idol was on, with many players desperately trying to find it.
At the Immunity Challenge, the Survivors were told they had to eat menudo, a popular Mexican soup made with cow stomach. Although most Survivors had no problem, Mason almost cost his team the challenge when he struggled with the dish. However, with some cheering on, he was able to finish. Detric, on the other hand, ended up throwing up and losing a point for his tribe. This one DQ sent Campana to Tribal Council.
At Tribal Council, David made it clear that that although he was absent at the challenge, he still had a lot to offer his team. But while Detric received two votes for his poor challenge performance, it was David's injuries that sent him packing. 22 are left. Who will be voted out next?
